The program is designed to support and help high school and college transfer students excel in developing their portfolios for college admissions. Students will be encouraged to portray and reflect their inner voices and passions creatively through their body of works. Portfolios developed by students from Shineh Art Studio have historically been well received by colleges/universities throughout the country. Furthermore Shineh Art Studio annually welcomes representatives/recruiters from notable art colleges for direct portfolio feedback opportunities and presentations at our studio!

Portfolio Prep level students are expected to know the basics of how to use both dry and wet mediums, including charcoals, collage, watercolor, acrylic & oil paint and etc.

* Activities include:

  • Potential opportunities to compete at local, state, region at large and/or national art competitions.
  • Lesson Plans tailored to individual students.
  • Invited to attend college presentations/events & provided with a chance to receive one-on-one reviews with each art school admission counselor/director.
