2. Do you offer trial class?
At this time we do not offer trial classes. Nevertheless, you are more than welcome to visit the studio, ask questions and get more information. If you would like to come by, please reach out to us via email at ShinehArtStudio@gmail.com.
3. Can I still register my child now when the fall/spring term has already started?
Yes! As long as we have availability your child can register at any time throughout the year. Tuition payment will be prorated accordingly.
4. Is there a family discount?
Families with multiple children enrolling in our year-round weekly classes can receive a 5% discount on younger sibling's tuition payment when selecting the monthly installment option at the time of registration. Please note that this offer is valid for monthly installment options only as the full/half year tuition amounts are already discounted. This discount cannot be applied to any camps. No exceptions will be made.
5. Do you offer a make up class?
Absolutely! We are happy to offer one make-up class per month as long as a make-up request and absence notification sign-up sheet is submitted to us before absence occurs. The make-up class must be fulfilled within the same month. No exceptions.
6. Can your program assist with my teen's art college application portfolio?
Yes, absolutely! We are proud to have seen so many successes over the past two decades. With our guidance and the hard work of our talented students, we have seen them accepted to prestigious colleges and universities. Our director/teacher has over 20 years of experience and dedication to helping students craft a portfolio that is unique and stands out from the crowd. 7. Will your classes help my child's portfolio for the MCPS Visual Arts Center magnet program?
Yes! Our class is a great way to work on pieces for a portfolio that could be used to apply for any high school art magnet programs in the area. We have had wonderful success stories. Additionally, our class provides students with the essential fine art fundamentals that will ensure students' success in the program. If interested, students must present artwork from the past two years for review to ensure the class is an appropriate challenge.
8. Do you help students with art contests?
At our studio, we have numerous resources and opportunities that we are eager to share with our students. While art competitions are not our primary focus, we are always delighted to support and guide our students if they choose to participate. Above all, our main priority is to foster creativity and a love of art in our students. This dedication to their growth and development is reflected in their success and the accomplishments of our students and alumni. We have faith that this legacy of excellence will continue in the years to come.
